NEW delicious cocktail introduced at Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant in Milton Keynes, Gunaydin

Updated: Sep 4, 2023

Calling all cocktail lovers!

I wasn't the greatest fan of cocktails until a couple of years ago, but now I always look forward to cocktail o'clock! I feel like many of us have our go-to favourite fusion, whether it be a Strawberry Daiquiri, a Pornstar Martini, or maybe yours is a Cosmopolitan?

Cocktail o'clock had commenced again to my delight, and it was even more of a pleasure to experience this hour with some delicious drinks at Gunaydin, a Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant, and bar in Kingston, Milton Keynes.

Gunaydin is still fresh within the dining scene of MK, having only been open since September 2022 and they have been blossoming ever since. Complimentary cocktails courtesy of Gunaydin, Milton Keynes - #Gifted

Gunaydin's talented bartender presented me with three vibrant cocktails that each displayed their own personality.

The first two cocktails are very well-known, each possesses a different taste that suits different appeals. 1 Long Island iced tea and 1 Turkish delight.

A Long Island iced tea consists of vodka, rum, gin, tequila, and sweet & sour, this mixture may sound like an off-putting combo but believe me if you are yet to try one, it tastes dangerously good! I could taste an immediate sweetness from the first sip, it was almost juice-like, so smooth and again, does not taste like an alcoholic beverage. I had to go easy with this one!

The Turkish delight is a true representation of its name, it's delightful! And super fruity. This cocktail is a blend of vodka, watermelon syrup, passion fruit, and sweet & sour sugar syrup.

Drinking this transported me back to my travels abroad last summer sitting next to the sea under the hot sun, and when you're surrounded by the beautiful settings of Gunaydin, it certainly makes you feel like you could step outside and exit to a warm paradise.

The last cocktail I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to try it, as I am completely unfamiliar with it, but I love to try new snazzy drinks. It was a margarita!

The margarita is visually awesome - the first glance had me instantly intrigued, it looks cool and very ice-elicious! It contains tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and a secret ingredient, the barman kept his lips sealed on this one! If you like a stiff drink, then this is one for you to try.

It really stunned me on the first sip, I went into it blindly! As you can see there is a ring of what looks like sugar around the glass, I found out very quickly when the first sip was like necking a tequila shot.

I took it very slowly on the next sip, as I could already feel that this cocktail is a cheeky creeper, one that doesn't take long at all to show its effects, especially on lightweights like myself! View Gunaydin's website here

The sweet and the sour burst through every swig and it's very refreshing, it also causes lots of funny faces so it's definitely worth a try.

Gunaydin also offers a variety of delicious mocktails if you don't drink alcohol, there is something for everybody!
