I had the pleasure of experiencing pottery making for the first time at Social Pottery's newest studio addition in Woburn Sands with my friend and creative content creator Holly Abigail.
We arrived and were greeted with beautiful food, prosecco, and friendly smiles.
After a demonstration of how to get started, we enjoyed a couple of hours making our creations out of clay from the fabulous air-dry clay kits that we have been gifted, these are so suited to anyone who would like to try them at home as they come with everything you need to get started, clay, tools, instructions and inspiration included!
We had great assistance during our time of creating and being taught lots of tips and tricks. It was super fun - 'Stop claying around!' is the slogan I adopted this evening!
Me and Holly decided to make plant pots as we are pretty plant-mad!
Within our air-dry clay kits, we also have a painting kit so we can finish off our pots with some pretty colours and patterns once they are dried out and ready.
It was such a great time, we laughed a lot and also met some other lovely people. It's a great way of socialising and getting out, trying something new. I have taken a liking to pottery making and I am already thinking about a future birthday booking.
If you would like to try some local pottery making and painting, Social Pottery is right here on your doorstep.
